Very Stylish!
Dracula is one of my all time favorite books and there have been many on screen incarnations of this horrifying tale. This one is my favorites by far!
I've seen most of the Dracula films including both Nosferatus' and the classic hammer versions.
But Francis Ford Coppola's take on the Stoker masterpiece Has always stayed with me as the most stylish of them all.
The way the shadows move, how life seams to bend and twist in the presence of the demon count, just sends shivers down my spine.
Oldman as the Count both old & withering as well as a young ripe vampire? Superb!
Even Keanu Reeves (who I just can't take seriously) Flourishes in this film.
It doesn't stray to far from the book but has enough new and differing takes on key scenes for it to be taken as a creative story it's self.
All in all a very well made stylish film that will stick with you whether you like it or not.
4.5/5
